A regular blog where Tessa travels the highways and byways of the South West meeting people from all walks of life and Introducing them to the Mindline Family of Mental Health Helplines.
I was over the moon to be invited once again to the Cheddar Patient Group’s annual Healthfest held in the picturesque village of Cheddar.
Held each year in the newly renovated Cheddar Village Hall, formerly known as Church House, The Healthfest invites an array of Health related organisations, such as Mindline, to hold a stall in order to distribute information about themselves.
This years Healthfest was a buzz with well over 30 local organizations showcasing their services and community projects. I was most delighted to meet the organisers of the new Wellbeing Support Cafe for 13-18yr olds which is being run every monday 3:30pm-5:30pm at the Methodist Hall, Cliff Street, Cheddar.
Of course, I was most grateful to Krystal who volunteered to attend this event with me to help set up our Mindline Stall and handout Information. Krystal went into networking overdrive at the event talking to all she could meet about her own support group in Taunton, The Mood Menders.
By lunchtime Krystal and I were tired but very happy. Feeling very accomplished with all the people we had spoken to about the Mindline Family of Mental Health helplines and meeting lots of wonderful people.
We’d like to give a huge thank you to Chair and vice chair of the Cheddar Patient group, John Pimblott & Elizabeth Herridge for their invite.
