On July 27th a team of fundraisers from Wellington’s Wellesley Hospital donned their lyrica and safety helmets to cycle from their home-base in Wellington to the The Copse Hospital in Weston-Super-Mare
This tremendous feat saw the 13 team mates cycle over 48 miles unaided across the county with a target of raising £500 for Mind in Taunton & West Somerset. At the time of writing the team have not only reached that target, but have gone way beyond that and have raised £821. The team now have set themselves a new target of £1,000.
But it’s not only money the team hope to raise through this effort, they also hope to also bring forth a greater understanding of mental health issues.
Sarah, one of the cyclists said, “As we work in Mental Health, we would like to encourage a greater understanding of Mental Health Issues .Nobody should face a Mental Health problem alone and we need your help to make that happen”.
