PUPILS FROM ST. PETER’S SCHOOL WILLTION RAISE MONEY

HAPPY STAR’S NURTURE GROUP

Pupils from The Happy Star’s Nurture Group at St Peters School in Williton raised an impressive £211 in aid of Mind in Taunton & West Somerset.

A group of pupils were inspired by cyclists Darren Kneeshaw and John Hines who completed a John O’Groats to Lands End cycle ride last year for the same charity. Under Darren’s supervision, these energetic youngsters of pupils cycled an impressive 3.2 miles around their playground. This isn’t the first time they have done this, they did the same challenge last year and were so enthusiastic to repeat it again this year.

Tessa Mason from MindTWS was there to accept the money raised. ‘What the pupils have done here is fantastic, it is so important that we all recognize that our mental health is as important as our physical health. By raising awareness, these pupils are helping to pave the way to a world where there is no stigma against mental health. Well done everyone and thank you’.
