Street Library

…….And the award for most thoughtful event planning and presentation goes to…….(drumroll)……Street Library.

What a welcome sight I had to see our posters on display in the entrance of Street Library announcing that Mindline will be here today (22/11/2017) and then again heading the Books on Prescription display.

It was a quiet start but I didn’t mind as there was a toddler sing-a-long session going on which was lovely to listen to. Around 11am people started to take an interest in our stall and before I knew it, I had run over my time.

I had many valuable conversations covering several mental health issues including depression, homelessness and PTSD. With one lovely gentlemen we just generally put the world to rights. One person came in especially to talk to us after seeing the advert for the event.

A huge thank you to the staff for such fantastic planning. I particularly impressed with their Books on Prescription stand displaying a wide range of books covering many different aspects of mental health. I left them lots of pamphlets and information and I have accepted an invitation to take part in their Wellbeing event taking place on 26th Feb 2018.

I definitely recommend a visit to Street Library. Check out their website for coming events.
